Pachirin is a fully offline-only screenshot & screen recording tool. It never transmits any user data to external services.

Pachirin does not collect user information, usage data, captured screenshots, videos, or any other data.

The Pachirin application process performs no network communication. After launch, no packets are sent to any external server.
The only exception is the browser scroll capture feature: when used, Pachirin communicates locally with the locally-launched Chrome / Edge instance (at 127.0.0.1) on your own PC. This is local-only traffic and not external network communication.

No feature usage statistics, error reports, or diagnostic data are sent to any external service.
The Pachirin application itself does not perform any update check communication.
When installed from the Microsoft Store, update delivery and management are handled at the OS level by the Microsoft Store client. There is no code path within the Pachirin process that contacts any external service to check for new versions.

If Pachirin crashes, it records minimal diagnostic information locally (auto-rotated, keeping the 20 most recent entries). Before writing, the following personal-information scrubbing is applied.

Crash logs are stored only on your PC and are never transmitted externally.
When you choose "Report a bug" from the Pachirin tray menu, diagnostics (the app version, your OS, and an excerpt of recent logs) are copied to your clipboard and our bug report page opens. The app itself never transmits any of this. Whether to send it, and what to send, is entirely your decision, made through the form.
The diagnostics have the same personal-information scrubbing applied as the previous section (replacing %USERPROFILE% / <USER>), and you can review and edit the content before sending. Information submitted via the form is used solely to investigate and fix issues. The bug report form is a Google Form, so submissions reach the developer through Google's systems.
To control the visibility of the QuickCapture bar (a toolbar invoked from the edge of the screen), Pachirin uses the Windows mouse hook (WH_MOUSE_LL), but it captures mouse coordinates only.
No keyboard input is hooked. Keystrokes are never captured or recorded.
